Network Engineer – L2 Support (ID 1414) at Marketscope in noida, uttar pradesh, India

Responsibilities

•  Provide Level 2 support for network incidents with adherence to defined SLAs and MTTR targets
•  Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues including routing, switching, and connectivity problems
•  Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents
•  Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and Layer 2/Layer 3 switches
•  Manage VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, STP, VTP, and ACLs
•  Identify and resolve network loops, broadcast storms, and performance issues
•  Implement and manage firewall rule changes, NAT policies, and object cleanup on Check Point or Fortinet firewalls
•  Troubleshoot firewall-related issues impacting connectivity
•  Ensure adherence to network security best practices
•  Configure and troubleshoot Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs
•  Diagnose and resolve IKE/IPSec Phase 1 & Phase 2 issues
•  Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve VPN-related incidents

Requirements

•  3–5 years of hands-on experience in network operations (L2 support)
•  Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing concepts
•  Hands-on experience with Check Point or Fortinet firewalls
•  Experience troubleshooting VPNs (IPSec, Remote Access)
•  Solid understanding of VLANs, STP, ACLs, and L3 switching
•  Experience with network monitoring tools (WhatsUp Gold, NetFlow, Syslog)
•  Exposure to incident management and SLA-driven environments
•  Certifications such as CCNA / CCNP
•  Check Point CCSA/CCSE or Fortinet NSE certification
•  Experience in enterprise or global network environments
•  Basic understanding of network security concepts
