- We are seeking experienced Network Engineers to support network infrastructure projects within a manufacturing and plant environment. This role involves hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise networking equipment across office and plant floor locations.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial environments and wearing required PPE, including steel-toed boots and other plant safety gear.
Responsibilities
- Routers
- Switches
- Wireless Access Points
- Voice Gateways
- UPS systems
- Support break-fix, moves, adds, and changes activities
- Perform cabling, terminations, rack mounting, and patch panel installations
- Participate in network infrastructure deployment projects
- Conduct site surveys and assist in developing Statements of Work (SOW)
- Create and maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
- Troubleshoot Ethernet, TCP/IP, fiber-optic, and structured cabling issues
- Work collaboratively with project and infrastructure teams
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Ethernet LAN topologies
- Minimum 2 years of experience with TCP/IP protocols
- Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Category 5e and Category 6 cabling
- Fiber-optic cabling and troubleshooting
- Cisco ISE
- SolarWinds network management tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for network documentation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and project coordination abilities
- Experience creating SOWs for networking projects
