- You'll work directly with operators who have scaled multi-billion dollar businesses in automotive, EV, and marketplaces.

- Plug is hiring a Sr. Social Media Manager to own our social presence end to end - across both Plug's brand channels and the personal founder voice of our CEO, Jimmy Douglas. These are two distinct voices with two distinct purposes, and part of this role is understanding how they differ and how they work together so each strengthens the other.
- This is a senior, hands-on role. You'll be shooting, directing, editing, writing, and posting yourself from day one, with real room to build and lead a team as the function grows.
Responsibilities
- Own the full content calendar and strategy across both the Plug brand
- Identify and develop recurring themes and narrative territories for our content, building on our existing brand framework and finding new ground within it
- Create short-form video (Reels, TikTok), static posts, stories, and longer-form YouTube content such as day-in-the-life pieces
- Write copy across all formats and platforms
- Shoot and direct Jimmy regularly, in person, including on short notice for spontaneous content moments, in addition to planned brand content at Plug HQ
- Edit content yourself end to end, with the option to hand rough cuts to an editor when that's the better use of time
- Manage Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn for the Plug brand
- Proactively engage elsewhere online - in EV and auto industry conversations and relevant culture and trend moments - to raise Plug's visibility beyond our own channels
Requirements
- Senior-level social media experience, able to run point solo from concept through shoot, edit, and post, without needing a team around you to get started
- Strong creative instincts and a natural, engaging writing voice
- Comfort directing a confident, camera-savvy founder
- Skill shooting and editing content on both mobile and camera
- Experience managing online community engagement and interpreting social performance data
- A plus, though not required: experience working directly with a founder, or at a marketplace company. Automotive experience is not required

- Annual salary: P4 $120,000 - $140,000
