• As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Salt Lake City, UT , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
• Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
• Day Time
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
• This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, vehicle entrances, parking areas, warehouse spaces, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and delivery activity; document observations and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow around shipping and receiving operations while following site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
