• As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Service in Oakland, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and/or damage to infrastructure, helping to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
