Responsibilities
- We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and services. As part of the team in the GVH Rehab Department you will:
- Develops and implements front office team goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization
- Directs and evaluates front desk team operations, including information technologies, complaint management, and answering billing questions, to achieve performance and quality control objectives
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and team professional growth and development initiatives
- Coordinates and directs internal/external audits
- Lead and manager the activities of the front desk operations at GVH to include planning, supervising, organizing, controlling and evaluating front office staff
- Will be responsible to recruit, hire and train new staff
- Will evaluate and optimize staff performance, one-on-one's, and support day to day operations
- Schedules and oversees front office staff
- Update office procedures: keep office procedures fresh and efficient, seek staff input regarding decisions that impact their work, work with rehab director to implement improvements as necessary.
- Take accountability for internal and external customer service and service excellence, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and proactively seeking process improvement.
Requirements
- To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting and at least 1 year of practice supervision and personnel management in a similarmedical clinic environment. Proficiency in electronic health record management systems. Experience in medical billing, benefit verification, and authorization. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Clerical skills of typing, filing, phone reception, and scheduling. Management skills of organization, interpersonal communication skills, mediation and negotiation, and independent decision-making. Active knowledge of and participation in community.
