- MedPOINT Management in Sherman Oaks, CA is looking for a detail-oriented Hospital Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your accounting career within a fast-paced healthcare management environment where your work directly supports quality patient care operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes in a hospital accounting environment
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hospital operations
- Ensure compliance with healthcare accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and financial discrepancies
- Assist in audits and prepare supporting documentation as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of GAAP and healthcare financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
