Job description

• The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse by efficiently handling inventory, processing orders, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Key responsibilities include operating forklifts, filling orders, building skids, handling materials, and ensuring products are consolidated and received accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and retrieve items as required.
• Accurately pick and pack orders according to shipping instructions, ensuring that all items are included and correctly prepared for delivery.
• Construct and organize skids to efficiently store and transport products, ensuring stability and safety.
• Move materials and products to and from various locations within the warehouse using manual or mechanical means.
• Combine and organize products as needed, following proper procedures to consolidate shipments and prepare them for distribution.
• Process incoming shipments by inspecting, unloading, and verifying items against purchase orders or packing lists.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as required by various tasks within the warehouse.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Based on the essential duties listed above, this position is considered safety-sensitive and therefore all work must be performed following quality standards and established safety procedures.

Requirements

• Understanding of warehouse procedures including receiving, order fulfillment, and material handling.
• Familiarity with forklift operation techniques, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
• Awareness of load capacities and equipment limitations.
• Understanding of proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.
• Skill in picking, packing, and preparing orders with attention to detail.
• Ability to use inventory management systems and tools for order processing.
• Ability to build and organize skids for efficient storage and transport.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to report discrepancies, damages, or issues clearly and promptly.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to accurately verify orders, inspect products, and ensure quality control.
• Skill in maintaining accuracy in inventory records and order processing.
• Ability to keep work areas clean and organized, and follow systematic procedures for task execution.
• Flexibility to work in various roles within the warehouse as needed.
• Competence in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
