• We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team.
• This role is responsible for promoting software quality on the product team through coaching, testing, and automated test development. You'll work closely with the Engineering Team and play a key role in helping us continue to grow and deliver for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a test strategy that balances manual exploratory testing for complex user stories with automated regression suites to ensure maximum release velocity and stability
• Write and maintain automated end to end tests in Playwright
• Act as the quality lead within an Agile squad, participating in refinement and daily stand-ups
• Investigate complex defects by analyzing AWS logs, Datadog metrics, and SQL databases, providing developers with detailed technical insights to accelerate the bug-fix lifecycle
• Mentor junior team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience leveraging modern tools and best practices
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript and Playwright
• Understanding of code architecture best practices such as reusability, maintainability, scalability, and abstraction.
• Experience working with REST APIs and usage of tools like Swagger and Postman to invoke and understand the functionality behind the APIs under test
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
• Experience using AI to assist in testing and / or code development

• In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 CAD and exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at ClearGov, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, interview performance, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring beyond the base range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
