Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for acute and urgent care conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies
• Perform emergency medical procedures within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records using Epic EMR system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental protocols
• Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine best practices and clinical guidelines

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine NP/PA experience in a hospital-attached Emergency Room
• Active Georgia NP or PA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification - Required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification - Required
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification - Required
• Current ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification - Required
• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records system preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
