Job description
- Multi-service law firm, is seeking a Senior Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney to join our Trust & Estate Litigation group.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Trusts and Estates litigation and a demonstrated interest in providing advice and counsel to clients with a broad spectrum of Trusts and Estates issues. Additionally, the candidate should bring at least a partial book of portable business.
Responsibilities
- Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
- Represent trustees, executors, administrators and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation, including:
- Contests based upon lack of capacity, undue influence, or fraud;
- Negligent management of assets;
- Failure to account, or Inadequate accounting;
- Co-trustee disputes;
- Removal and surcharge actions;
- Breach of fiduciary duty (lack of impartiality, self-dealing & secret profits)
- Supervise and mentor associates
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Trust & Estate litigation
- Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent reputation for integrity and collegiality among both bench and bar
