• Job Description: THIS POSITION IS MORE OF A Operations Quality Engineer (QE) POSITION NOT A Quality Assurance Engineer POSITION.
• MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for our Optical Components manufacturing center based out of Orlando, FL.
• The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing.

Responsibilities

• • Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products
• • Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment
• • Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• • Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
• • Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
• • Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
• • Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
• • Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.
• • Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
• • Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of GD&T Experience
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of SAP Experience
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of APRISO Experience
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of Presentation experience.
• Candidate must have at least 2 years of conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102
• Manufacturing Environment Experience
• Green or Black Belt Certification
• AS9102 interpretation and application experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• First Article Inspection experience
• Optics Experience
