Job description

• mall Girls PR is growing and we are looking for an Associate Account Executive within our fast growing west coast office focusing on a range of exciting consumer brands across the food & beverage, tech, fitness, and lifestyle spaces!
• An Associate Account Executive is the foundation of the support infrastructure at Small Girls PR, furnishing documents, call notes, and organizational systems to keep accounts running smoothly. As an AAE, you will contribute to and impact media relations efforts, actively providing ideas and action items and serving as one of the lead pitching participants on the team.

We’ve turned the invisible work of parenting into a national conversation with Skylight’s Mental Load Report, transformed last-minute travel into a game-time decision with Priceline’s March Madness-inspired “Buzzer Beater Deals,” launched paranormal investigations with Ring doorbells, and hired the Green M&M as Zappos’ newest “shoefluencer” when the spokescandy was put on hiatus due to her boots controversy.

Responsibilities

• Draft creative pitch angles that position clients uniquely from their competitor set and yield feature-length stories
• Establish and maintain warm relationships with both business and consumer media
• Come prepared to brainstorms with original campaign concepts and stunt ideas that would drive preferred messaging on behalf of our brands
• Keep the team organized by gatekeeping the monthly activity reports, weekly call agendas + recap notes, and by assisting with wrap reports & decks as needed
• Pulse search engines, alerts and social media to ensure all client placements and mentions are monitored, measured, captured and interpreted
• Periodically share your team’s learnings at company-wide all hands

Requirements

• You have at least 1-2 years of post-grad experience within the media relations, corporate communications, or public relations space. Note: this is not an entry level role for 2026 graduates.
• Your passion for error-free work; you double check every detail and spot a typo a mile away
• You’ve already secured top-tier press placements and have the clips to prove it
• You have a strong passion for following trends, culture and media and are obsessed with pop culture and entertainment news!
