- Job Summary: The Medical/Surgical RN provides comprehensive care to patients who are recovering from surgery or managing complex illnesses. The RN will work in a dynamic and challenging environment where they will be required to provide top-notch medical care and emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions by monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and surgical sites.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate medical equipment necessary for patient care.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and managing illness at home.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
- Adhere to all nursing and hospital policies and standards of care.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare software systems.
