Responsibilities

• Manage own assignment with RN support
• Provide care for patient population including COPD exacerbation, infections, failure to thrive & social issues
• Perform clinical skills: vitals, pain assessment, I&O, telemetry, 12-lead EKG, oxygen, feeding tubes, IV pumps, glucose monitoring, medication administration, basic wound/drain care, Foley insertion & specimen collection
• Follow isolation precautions, use restraints, and report status changes to RN/MD
• Float within skillset as required
• Be available to work every other holiday if needed

Requirements

• Experience: Acute Care experience within last 2 years; must manage own assignment with RN support
• Ratio: Days 1:5–6
• License: Active NY Single-State LPN License required — pending license not accepted; NY is not Compact
• Certification: BLS required
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Local Rule: Locals accepted at $10 less; non-local = >75 miles
• Float: Required within skillset
• RTO/Block: Submit all requests with profile
• Holiday: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Call-Off: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts/13-week contract without charges
