Responsibilities
- DUTIES: Lead the creation, integration, and maintenance of simulation models, including plant models, sensor/actuator models, serial data networks, and controller representations. Develop and maintain Battery HIL models and benches supporting BECM, cell balancing, contactor logic, diagnostics, thermal systems, and high voltage architecture behavior. Plan and coordinate model updates, hardware upgrades, and test environment rollout to support new features, new programs, and SDV2 architecture changes. Ensure benches meet program timing, support feature development, and enable early detection of defects before vehicle integration. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
Requirements
- REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, SIL Software in the Loop Engineer, HIL Simulation & Integration Engineer, High Voltage Simulation Engineer, or related occupation. Three (3) years of experience with: Complex design of models with real time simulation; and HIL bench tools, including ETAS INCA, Lauterbach, CAN (CANalyzer or Vehicle Spy), and Python. Two (2) years of experience with: HIL design and integration; Modeling and testing electrical, short circuit, and fault scenarios; and Creating in model, the simulated sensors and actuators (voltage, current, temperature) and synchronizing the physical hardware with simulated plant models.
