- Software Architect
- Our client is a business intelligence platform that provides data analytics and search engine optimization specifically for the real estate development and construction industry.
- They are seeking a talented and experienced Software Architect to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the software development life cycle (SDLC) and ensuring the scalability and performance of our existing tech stack tailored to meet the unique needs of our industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Quickly learn and contribute to the existing tech stack, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Analyze market and user research to make data-driven decisions with an understanding of CRE/Construction space.
- Collaborate with coworkers to brainstorm new software features.
- Pitch software design proposals to executives for approval.
- Write software requirement specification (SRS) documents.
- Work with the project manager to set and stick to the timeline.
- Manage software developers through the coding process.
- Advise and oversee the software testing team.
- Present software to executives before deployment.
- Continue to make updates based on user and team feedback.
Requirements
- Experience with database design and data modeling
- Understanding of coding and programming languages, including Python, Ruby on Rails, or other common programming languages and Frameworks
- Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related major is required.
- Masters degree or Ph.D. in software engineering, computer science, or a related major is preferred.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience is required.
- Hybrid ideal candidate should be able to work 2 days per week in Boston, MA.
