Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Manage cases, deadlines, legal strategy, discovery, pleadings, motions, and related litigation responsibilities.
• Develop and execute effective case strategies in collaboration with attorneys and clients.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide thoughtful, responsive legal guidance.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and exercise sound judgment throughout each matter.
• Manage multiple cases and competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
• Take ownership of assignments and actively contribute to favorable client outcomes.

Requirements

• Must have an active California Bar license and at least 1+ year of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is required for candidates with prior practice experience; newly licensed attorneys may be considered if they demonstrate strong potential and relevant training.
• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• 1+ year of civil litigation experience.
