Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of Texas family law matters, from initial client intake through settlement, mediation, hearings, trial, and post-judgment matters.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, correspondence, settlement documents, and other family law filings.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, document production, deadlines, hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients navigating sensitive divorce, custody, and family-related disputes.
• Organize and maintain complex case files while keeping attorneys informed of deadlines, developments, and outstanding issues.
• Assist with preparation for contested hearings and trials, including exhibits, witness materials, discovery responses, and case organization.
• Work closely with attorneys to help develop efficient case strategies and move matters toward successful resolution.
• Collaborate with the broader legal team while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent client service.

Requirements

• Candidates must be currently Board Certified in Family Law as a Paralegal by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This is a senior-level paralegal opportunity requiring substantial Texas family law experience and the ability to support matters through discovery, mediation, hearings, trial preparation, and resolution.
• Current Texas Board of Legal Specialization Board Certification in Family Law as a Paralegal.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience.
• Significant Texas family law experience.
• Strong knowledge of divorce, custody, child support, modifications, enforcement, discovery, mediation, and litigation procedures.
• Excellent drafting, organization, communication, and deadline-management skills.
• Strong work ethic and collaborative team mentality.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Austin.
