• Home Helpers Home Care of San Mateo County is hiring experienced Caregivers, Home Care Aides (HCA), CNAs, and HHAs with reliable transportation to provide compassionate in-home senior care throughout San Mateo County.
• If you enjoy helping seniors remain safe, active, and independent at home and in the community, this could be a great opportunity for you. Many of our clients need caregivers who can provide both personal care and transportation, including rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, social activities, and community outings.
• We are currently hiring immediately and offer flexible scheduling with part-time, full-time, weekend, and live-in caregiver opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
• Parkinson’s care
• Hospice and end-of-life support
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Transportation for seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, errands, and community activities
• Companionship and emotional support
• Helping clients maintain independence and quality of life
• Providing safe, respectful, one-on-one in-home care

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Professional caregiving experience preferred
• Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willing to obtain
• Current negative TB test or willing to complete before starting
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
• Safe driving record
• Comfortable driving clients to appointments, errands, shopping, and community activities
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional
