• Location: This is a full-time, on-site role based in the heart of downtown Bethesda, MD — a vibrant, walkable area just steps from Metro. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.
• Note: Candidates must hold an active bar license (any jurisdiction). Bar admission in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia is strongly preferred. This role is best suited for attorneys with law firm backgrounds; in-house and solo practice experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, leases, and loan documents
• Advise clients on complex real estate acquisitions and dispositions across multiple asset classes
• Structure and execute joint ventures and investment vehicles for developers and institutional clients
• Support development, P3, and infrastructure projects from inception through closing
• Handle commercial leasing matters for both landlord and tenant-side clients
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on multi-party transactions and financing arrangements
• Manage client relationships and serve as a key point of contact on active deals
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of a nationally ranked practice group

Requirements

• Active bar license required; MD, DC, and/or VA admission strongly preferred
• 3+ years of commercial real estate and/or business/transactional law experience at a law firm
• Strong transactional drafting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• JD from an accredited law school
