• We are currently looking for a Project Manager (Mechanical) in Kansas City, MO to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager currently working for a Mechanical Contractor who is looking to transition into the booming Data Center sector. You will support critical retrofit, infrastructure, and operational improvement projects within active data center environments, partnering with some of the world's leading technology companies. This role offers significant visibility, long-term career growth, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that directly impact mission-critical operations. Requirements are based on the client's preference for a PM with strong mechanical expertise supporting mechanical, electrical, and fiber infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical-focused construction and infrastructure projects within active data center environments.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, procurement, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and fiber teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across all project phases.
• Partner directly with owners, contractors, vendors, and field teams to deliver complex retrofit and upgrade projects.
• Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects are completed while maintaining operational continuity in critical facilities.
• Support long-term infrastructure improvement and capacity expansion initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within mechanical construction.
• Background working for a Mechanical Contractor strongly preferred.
• Experience managing HVAC, piping, plumbing, industrial, mission critical, or large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced, highly technical environments.
