Job description

• Brightway Agents are the heart of our business — independent franchise owners who build their own books of business using Brightway's platform, products, and carrier network.
• As the Senior Product Manager for Agent Ecosystem, you'll own the technology that helps agents build stronger businesses — from engaging customers and managing pipelines to quoting policies and closing business. You'll get close to the customer, understand how agents actually work, identify opportunities to make their day-to-day experience better, and turn those insights into products that make a measurable difference.
• This is an AI-enabled, hands-on product role in a fast-moving, technology-forward environment. We're actively building AI-powered capabilities for our agents, and we're looking for a product leader who is excited to be part of that work — someone who wants to explore what's possible, rapidly prototype ideas, validate them with users, and turn promising concepts into real products.
• This isn't a role where you'll simply define a roadmap and hand it off. You'll be expected to get into the weeds, work closely with engineering and design, and help build. You'll move quickly, make decisions, and work directly with agents and internal stakeholders to solve real problems.
• You'll work across agents, engineering, design, executive leadership, and technology partners to define what we should build, why it matters, and how we'll know it's working.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Agent Ecosystem, translating a deep understanding of agent workflows and customer needs into high-impact product opportunities.
• Get into the weeds. Work directly with agents, customers, designers, and engineers to understand problems, test ideas, and help shape solutions — from concept through delivery.
• Move quickly from idea to action, using rapid prototyping, experimentation, and AI-enabled tools to validate concepts and solve problems before investing heavily in development.
• Synthesize input from agents, executive leadership, design, engineering, and technology partners into clear decisions about what to build, why it matters, and what to prioritize.
• Build strong relationships with Brightway agents and internal business partners, serving as the voice of the customer inside the product organization.
• Develop a deep understanding of the independent insurance agency model, including how Brightway agents run their businesses, what drives their success, and Brightway's position within the broader market.
• Identify opportunities to proactively improve the agent experience — anticipating friction and solving problems before they become barriers for our customers.
• Define success metrics across every stage of the agent sales funnel, including acquisition, quoting, and bind, and use data to inform prioritization and product decisions.
• Partner with executive leadership to align on strategy, communicate tradeoffs, and manage delivery expectations.
• Balance strategy with execution — you're comfortable zooming out to define the vision and zooming in to work through the details needed to make it happen.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a track record of shipping products that drive measurable business outcomes.
• You have sharp product instincts — a natural sense for what will help users accomplish their goals and walk away impressed.
• You're a builder. You enjoy getting into the details, solving problems, testing ideas, and being close to the work rather than simply directing it.
• You're comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can change and there isn't always a perfect playbook.
• You're equally comfortable talking shop with agents in the field, discussing tradeoffs with engineers, and presenting strategy to the C-suite. You know how to communicate effectively with different audiences.
• You define a compelling vision and make others want to build it with you.
• You lead through influence, not authority, and have a proven ability to align competing stakeholders around a shared direction.
• You have a strong bias toward action and outcomes over process.
• You're curious about emerging technologies and restless with the status quo — always looking for smarter ways to solve hard problems.
• You're comfortable using AI-enabled tools such as Claude Code and Figma Make to rapidly prototype and validate ideas, and you're excited to use these tools as part of your own product development process.
• You can thrive in both structured environments and environments where you have to roll up your sleeves, figure things out, and make progress without a lot of hand-holding.
