Job description
- Responsible for collaborating with faculty and researchers in managing routine aspects of proposal development, development of financial resources and programs, and ensuring compliance with university policies.
- The Senior Research Analyst will work as part of an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional U19 team to analyze and integrate large-scale datasets that include single-cell and bulk multi-omic data, immune phenotyping, social-network phenotypes, longitudinal physiological measures, survival, and reproductive outcomes. The core scientific goal is to identify molecular and environmental drivers of inter-individual and within-individual variation in biological aging across tissues, organ systems, and the life course.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and integrate multi-tissue DNA methylation, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, snRNA-seq, metabolomic, proteomic, immune, and genotype/variant datasets.
- Develop and apply statistical models to quantify age-associated, tissue-specific, sex-specific, and cell-type-specific molecular variation.
- Integrate single-nucleus RNA-seq reference profiles with bulk molecular data for cell-type annotation and deconvolution.
- Link molecular phenotypes to social, physiological, skeletal, pathology, imaging, reproductive, and survival data.
- Develop multidomain biological-age, ageotype, aging-type, mortality-prediction, or reproductive-senescence models.
- Contribute to a collaborative, transparent, and reproducible team-science environment spanning ASU and partner institutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Master’s Degree in genomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, evolutionary biology, neuroscience, geroscience, systems biology, computer science, or a related field by the start date.
- Experience analyzing high-dimensional biological data in R, Python, or another scientific programming language.
- Familiarity with reproducible computational workflows and version control.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Interest in aging biology, functional genomics, quantitative biology, or large-scale integrative data analysis.
