Job description
- OCC is looking for interns who are eager to learn, humble enough to ask questions, and ready to think critically about complex problems. The OCC Internship Program equips students with the real-world skills needed to transition successfully into a career in financial services. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, applying your skills and knowledge to real challenges facing the business. Your time with us is a real opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future of OCC!
- OCC's Summer Internship Program is a 12-week opportunity running either May through August or June through September, and is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are actively enrolled at a college or university. Interns work up to 40 hours per week in a hybrid work environment, and overtime is not permitted.
- HRIS & HR Analytics manages all HR Workday requests and projects, as well as all people analytics requests from management. This internship role would become an integral part of the team.
Responsibilities
- The intern will work on various potential projects/work that will give them a well-rounded experience in HRIS & HR Analytics, as well as give them the opportunity to work with various stakeholders across HR.
- Build a data dictionary for core people-data fields
- Employee lifecycle mapping — map sourcing → onboarding → performance → development → exit as a system, and identify feedback loops (e.g., slow hiring → manager overload → turnover → more hiring demand).
- Leverage points exercise — given a business problem, identify where a small process or data change could have outsized impact, versus where effort would be wasted.
- Draft an “HR metrics 101” glossary for the broader HR team
- Participate in Hub optimizations
- Updating, adding, or removing report tags
- Reviewing existing report naming conventions and updating where necessary
- Taking inventory of reports with outdated fields and/or collaborating on replacing said fields
- Help consolidate duplicative reports throughout our tenant, taking inventory of reports serving the same purpose
- Participate in employee name updates, or other administrative tasks in Workday
Requirements
- Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
- Should have strong critical thinking skills and time management skills. This role will require managing multiple projects with various stakeholders at once and will allow them the opportunity to give suggestions and ideas on various data and Workday activities.
