Accounting Analyst I – Commission Team (TEMP) at Brightway Insurance in Jacksonville, FL

Job description

• Under general supervision, provides a broad range of accounting tasks including process commission statements and reports and analyzing data to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile commission statements in Ascend
• Review and post commission statements from Ascend into the Global Green Agency Management System (Epic)
• Balance the commissions statements against Epic and properly record the variance
• Research and drive resolution on missing policies
• Ensure the correct commission rates are entered in the Epic
• Research and resolve Direct Bill questions on a periodic basis
• Thoroughly research and drive resolution for unidentified (orphan) commissions
• Communicate with franchisees to resolve exceptions.
• Escalate unresolved items to supervisor per pre-determined aging timeline
• Learn and understand commonly used terms in the insurance industry
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance or a related field. Applicant should have knowledge of commonly used Accounting concepts, practices and procedures and must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
