- The Software Engineer, Entry-Level is responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining software solutions throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, verify, sustain, and fully document software throughout its lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews to learn and apply software best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure software requirements are met.
- Support integration tests.
- Ensure all software is maintained under a rigorous configuration management process.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- 0-2 years of software development experience, including academic, internship, or personal project work.
- Experience with at least one high-level programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.) and shell scripting.
- Experience in Linux and Windows development environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A self-starter, team player with a desire to work with a team of engineers, integrators, analysts, and others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and perform general office functions.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to maintain an Active Secret Security clearance and the designated security clearance level is required.
