Job description

• Wild Oak Boutique — one of the fastest-growing women’s fashion brands — is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead our marketing organization and own strategy across every channel that touches the customer.
• Marketing has reported directly to the owners since the company started. This is the first dedicated leadership seat over the function, so you will inherit a capable in-house team and a brand with real momentum, plus the latitude to decide where we take it next. You will own the budget, set the channel mix, and carry accountability for growth.
• This role is open to remote candidates anywhere in the US. Our team and warehouse are in Sioux Falls, SD, and we expect you to travel there periodically to work alongside the team in person. If you are local to Sioux Falls, you are welcome in the office as often as you like.

Responsibilities

• Own marketing strategy and budget across paid, organic, retention, and creator channels.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the in-house marketing team spanning content, social, email/SMS, and paid media.
• Drive performance marketing across Meta, Google, and TikTok, with clear accountability for CAC, ROAS, and blended return on spend.
• Own lifecycle marketing: email and SMS segmentation, automation, and the promotional calendar.
• Scale our creator and affiliate program, including TikTok Shop.
• Partner with merchandising and product development to align messaging, launch timing, and promotions.
• Turn data into decisions, using attribution and cohort analysis to allocate spend and forecast revenue.
• Manage agency, vendor, and platform relationships.
• Stay ahead of fashion, social, and commerce trends so Wild Oak stays early rather than late.

Requirements

• Experience Required: 8+ years in e-commerce or digital marketing, including team leadership
• 8+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years leading a team. E-commerce or fashion retail strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ownership of a marketing budget and accountability for revenue targets.
• Hands-on fluency with Shopify and a modern DTC stack: email/SMS platforms, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads and TikTok Shop, and an attribution tool such as Triple Whale.
• Proven track record scaling revenue through both performance marketing and brand storytelling.
• Experience leading a team you do not sit with every day, and the communication habits that make that work.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, and the judgment to prioritize when everything feels urgent.
• Willing to travel to Sioux Falls periodically.
• This is a remote position.

• Compensation: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
