• Maximus is hiring an Analyst, Pursuit Operations to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of complex business development pursuits and proposal activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining pursuit readiness by managing schedules, workplans, action trackers, milestone calendars, and status reporting to ensure teams remain aligned and on track to meet key deadlines.
• The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Working closely with proposal, pricing, operations, sales, and other cross-functional teams, the Analyst, Pursuit Operations will monitor progress, track actions and dependencies, identify schedule risks, and facilitate timely follow-up on decisions and deliverables. Success in this role requires strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, action tracking, and overall pursuit efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact business development efforts while supporting continuous improvement in pursuit operations and business development processes.

Responsibilities

• - Support pursuit readiness activities before and after RFP release by maintaining schedules, trackers, and workstream coordination materials.
• - Maintain workplans, action-item logs, decision trackers, milestone calendars, risk registers, and status reports for assigned workstreams.
• - Track owner assignments, due dates, dependencies, open items, and follow-up actions to support schedule adherence.
• - Monitor pursuit milestones, flag schedule risks, and escalate barriers requiring leadership attention.
• - Coordinate questions, meetings, reminders, and follow-ups across writing, pricing, operations, sales, and proposal teams.
• - Prepare concise status updates that summarize progress, upcoming deadlines, risks, decisions, and next steps.
• - Use approved AI-enabled tools to help summarize updates, organize action items, streamline tracker maintenance, and improve follow-up efficiency.

Requirements

• - Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• -Experience organizing and maintaining project schedules, workplans, and milestone calendars.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• -Experience tracking action items, decisions, risks, and project updates to support successful execution.
• -Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple team members and stakeholders across projects.
• -Strong organizational skills with the ability to identify missing information and follow up proactively.
• -Experience monitoring schedules and escalating potential risks or delays when needed.
• -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear and concise status updates.
• -Experience documenting meeting notes, tracking follow-up actions, and ensuring accountability for next steps.
• -Proficiency using approved AI-enabled tools to support meeting summaries, action tracking, project organization, and follow-up activities.
• -Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.

• Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
