Responsibilities
- Our Senior Staff Accountants are a vital part of the service delivery to our hotel locations. This role will work with a portfolio of hotel locations to deliver the following:
- Prepare monthly financial P&L statements for assigned portfolio of hotels.
- Input and verify data in cloud-based hospitality specific accounting software (M3)
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
- Prepare multiple complex bank reconciliations.
- Accrue expenses and request disbursements.
- Process weekly AP check runs.
- Prepare weekly cash positions.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Complete monthly closing cycle and prepare financials for multiple accounts.
- Protect organization's value by maintaining confidentiality of data and information.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. This position has direct contact with owners, upper management, operations, and property general managers.
- Ability to multi-task and comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Proficient with prepaid and accrual schedules.
- Organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate the ability to adhere to deadlines and checklists.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Highly self-motivated.
- NOTE: This position is driven by contractual deadlines – time off is restrictive based on monthly closing periods.
