Job description
- The Associate Brand Manager, US Wellness Innovation & Brand Marketing, will serve as the engine of our Wellness growth strategy — identifying new Wellness brands and products to bring into the frozen category, developing breakthrough product innovations, and leading the brand marketing strategy that positions us as the undisputed leader in Wellness ice cream.
- This role is different from a typical ABM position. It is faster-paced, more entrepreneurial, and demands genuine blue-sky thinking. You won't be following an established playbook — you'll be writing it. This is a rare chance to shape the future direction of our company by identifying, incubating, and scaling new Wellness products, brands, and marketing strategies in the frozen category.
- This is not a caretaker role. We are looking for an intelligent, innovative, and entrepreneurial leader with a penchant for outside-the-box thinking. You will identify blue-sky opportunities, evaluate them with rigorous financial analysis, and build the business cases that unlock investment. Ideal candidates are comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the opportunity to build something new.
Responsibilities
- Wellness Brand & Product Innovation
- Identify and evaluate new Wellness brands, product concepts, and partnerships that can excel in the frozen category
- Develop and execute the Wellness innovation pipeline — new products, formats, and positionings that deliver genuine health and wellness benefits in the frozen aisle
- Partner with R&D and Consumer Marketing Insights (CMI) to develop compelling new Wellness product propositions and packaging
- Lead cross-functional teams to take product ideas from concept through commercialization to retail shelves
- Apply a 'Lean Startup' mindset — build pilots, test quickly, and fail fast to rapidly identify what works
- Stay ahead of consumer and category trends to identify the next high-potential Wellness opportunity before competitors do
- Explore digital and e-commerce platform opportunities to bring new Wellness brands and formats to market
- Brand Marketing & Strategy
- Develop and execute brand marketing strategies that drive awareness, trial, and loyalty for our Wellness portfolio
- Partner with Consumer Marketing Insights to design robust consumer learning plans — identifying new testing methodologies and insights generation approaches
- Analyze Wellness category dynamics to continuously sharpen strategic positioning and identify the largest remaining white spaces
- Lead agency and media partner relationships to develop culturally relevant marketing assets for the Wellness segment
- Leverage AI tools to efficiently develop and scale marketing assets
- Business Development & Growth
- Identify and develop financial business cases for new Wellness growth opportunities
- Build innovative new routes to market and manufacturing capabilities in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new Wellness growth initiatives — managing each from ideation through commercial launch
Requirements
- Strong Bias for Action & Accountability — for self and the teams you partner with
- Growth and competitive mindset
- Entrepreneurial spirit: comfortable operating without a playbook and thriving in ambiguity
- Passion and drive to grow the business
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence at all levels
- Analytical ability: dig into the details, derive insights, and turn them into clear business recommendations
- Creative and blue-sky thinking — ability to envision what doesn't yet exist and articulate a compelling path to get there
- Organized – able to manage multiple projects, teams, and deliverables on time in full
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
- 2–4 years of CPG brand management and/or innovation experience — strongly preferred above all other backgrounds
- Experience in Wellness, health, or better-for-you categories is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to build financial business cases
- Understanding of digital and e-commerce channels
- Clear track record of successful, consistent delivery to the business
- Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Experience working with agencies and media partners
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — clear, simple, and compelling
- Strategic thinker with both brand and portfolio perspective
