• **THIS IS A NEURO UNIT**

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a neuro unit
• Work night shifts with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float to other units as required (travelers float first)
• Work 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend)
• May be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events
• Use Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Minimum Experience REQUIRED
• Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st time Travelers
• Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
• Skills: Teamwork approach to patient care, Focus on patient safety
• Certs: ACLS and BLS
• PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: NIH, Neuro exp preferred, Experience/willing to learn the charge nurse role preferred
