Bed Management Coordinator-Patient Logistics at Eppright Homes in Staten Island, Richmond, United States

Job description

• Coordinates intra-department and intra-hospital transfers, ensuring continuity of all necessary communication between departments.

Responsibilities

• 1.Assigns and facilitates patient bed assignments according to hospital patient aggregation.
• 2.Accepts phone calls from attending physician offices for direct admissions
• Reviews specific orders that may impact bed placement (i.e.: one-on-one
• constant observation, telemetry needs, pending lab specimens, admit orders for medicine teams).
• 3.Collects data for Zone alerts (admissions, discharges, bed demands/availability status of surge units, etc.).
• 4.Collates data from Teletracking to provide information needed for daily bed meeting template.
• 5.Escalates bed management problems to a registered nurse.
• 6.Obtains and records necessary information regarding expirations to ensure accuracy and timely preparation of death certificates.

Requirements
