Responsibilities

• Just 4 Kids Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant, CNA, or EMT to provide an excellent patient experience by completing a variety of tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the clinic. This position will assess, plan, and provide care under the supervision of a medical provider. They will examine and treat patients to ensure proper care, development, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
• Patient Care.
• Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Screen and direct patient calls to appropriate staff.
• Administer vaccinations.
• Perform patient blood-draws.
• Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
• Clerical.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and clinic leadership.
• Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians.
• Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians’ review, etc.
• Document patient files, records, forms, and other info.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Be sure work area appears neat, well stocked, and organized.
• Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
• Provide general information of department policies and procedures.
• Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested.
• Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area.
• Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise.
• Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the J4K mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age to apply.
• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to successfully complete new hire training program.
• Maintain current BLS certificate.
• Maintain current MA, CNA, or EMT license.
