Job description
- Fully Remote | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
- Help Industrial Organizations Turn Strategy into Measurable Results
- You've built a career improving operations. Whether you've led a plant, managed engineering, driven continuous improvement, optimized supply chains, improved reliability, implemented digital technologies, or led operational transformation initiatives, you've earned something invaluable -- credibility.
- People answer your calls because you've been in their shoes.
- Implementation Engineers is seeking a Business Development Executive to help industrial organizations solve their toughest operational challenges. This is an opportunity to leverage your industry experience, professional network, and business acumen to develop executive relationships and introduce clients to solutions that deliver measurable business results.
- This is not a transactional sales role.
- It's a consultative business development position where your operational experience, credibility, and ability to engage executive leaders are far more valuable than traditional sales experience.
- If you're passionate about helping organizations improve performance and enjoy building long-term business relationships, we'd love to talk.
- Your professional network is an important asset -- but you won't be building a book of business alone.
- Implementation Engineers has invested in a comprehensive business development engine that includes executive marketing, inside sales, outbound prospecting, digital marketing, thought leadership, conferences, strategic partnerships, and inbound lead generation. Your role is to leverage these opportunities, along with your own industry relationships and operational credibility, to engage executive leaders and identify meaningful opportunities where our team can create value.
- You'll have the support of experienced implementation leaders, subject matter experts, marketing professionals, and business development resources who will partner with you throughout the sales process -- from initial discovery through solution development and client engagement.
- If you're ready to combine your operational expertise with the strength of an established implementation firm and a collaborative growth team, we'd love to hear from you.
- Join Implementation Engineers and help industrial organizations turn strategy into execution -- and execution into measurable business results.
Responsibilities
- As a Business Development Executive, you'll build executive relationships with industrial organizations across North America, helping leaders identify opportunities to improve operational performance and accelerate business transformation.
- You'll leverage both your existing professional network and qualified opportunities generated through Implementation Engineers' marketing and business development efforts.
- Developing relationships with executive leaders across industrial organizations
- Leveraging your professional network to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Conducting executive discovery conversations with inbound and outbound prospects generated through our sales and marketing initiatives
- Understanding client challenges related to operations, engineering, maintenance & reliability, supply chain, digital manufacturing, organizational performance, and business transformation
- Collaborating with our implementation teams to develop tailored solutions for clients
- Introducing clients to our Program Design Phase (PDP), which frequently serves as the starting point for larger implementation engagements
- Building long-term client relationships founded on trust, credibility, and measurable results
- This is a consultative business development role focused on solving business problems -- not selling products.
Requirements
- We're seeking professionals who have built credibility leading operational improvement within industrial organizations and who are excited to leverage that experience in a strategic, client-facing role.
- Ideal candidates have held leadership roles in industrial operations such as Plant Manager, Operations Manager or Director, Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence Leader, Lean Leader, Maintenance or Reliability Manager, Supply Chain Leader, Plant Engineer, Industrial Consultant, or Technical Sales Executive with deep operational expertise. Above all, we're looking for professionals who have built credibility improving industrial operations and can confidently engage executive leaders as trusted advisors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Petroleum, or related discipline)
- MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within industrial operations, engineering, supply chain, maintenance & reliability, continuous improvement, or operational excellence
- Demonstrated success leading operational improvement, business transformation, or digital manufacturing initiatives
- Strong understanding of industrial operations and the challenges facing today's manufacturing and industrial organizations
- Executive presence with exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
- Strong business acumen and a consultative, solution-oriented mindset
- An established professional network within industrial organizations
- The credibility and confidence to engage senior executives as a trusted advisor and identify opportunities to create measurable business value
- Whether you're a seasoned industry leader looking for your next chapter or a mid-career professional ready to leverage your operational expertise in a broader business role, we'd like to hear from you.
