• A sophisticated and rapidly growing Connecticut litigation boutique is seeking attorneys with at least three years of civil litigation experience to join its expanding medical malpractice and healthcare defense practice.

Responsibilities

• Attorneys in this practice play an active role in all aspects of litigation, including:
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Managing discovery and preparing case strategy
• Taking and defending depositions
• Attending court appearances and hearings
• Preparing for and participating in trials
• Working directly with clients and firm leadership
• Advising healthcare professionals and institutions on sensitive and complex matters
• Senior attorneys will also have the opportunity to mentor and supervise junior attorneys while helping shape the continued growth of the practice.

Requirements

• Strong writers, communicators, and strategic thinkers
• Motivated to take ownership of sophisticated litigation matters
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Interested in developing or expanding a medical malpractice defense practice
• Medical malpractice defense experience is strongly preferred for senior-level candidates. For mid-level attorneys, prior med mal experience is not required provided the candidate has strong litigation fundamentals and a genuine interest in healthcare-related litigation and medical/scientific issues.
• Commercial or civil litigators with transferable litigation skills
• Plaintiff-side medical malpractice attorneys interested in transitioning into defense work

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar, or the ability to become admitted, is required.
