Job description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller with a strong background in the legal industry to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations for the company. Responsibilities

• - Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• - Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• - Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports
• - Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
• - Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
• - Manage cash flow and ensure timely payment of invoices and expenses
• - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• - Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies for cost control and revenue growth
• - Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners
• - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices

Requirements

• - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• - CPA designation preferred
• - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the legal industry
• - Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• - Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• - Experience managing a team and providing leadership and guidance
