Job description

• We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team.
• In this role, you will leverage your power and lighting design experience and technical expertise to create comprehensive electrical designs for a variety of projects.
• You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce drawings for buildings lighting, power and electrical distribution systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
• Perform lighting and power engineering calculations.
• Design electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Support the procurement process by evaluating and specifying appropriate materials and equipment for new electrical infrastructure and reviewing vendor proposals.
• Adhere to project schedules, budgets and scope of work.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Tulsa, OK or Bentonville, AR (Candidates must reside or relocate to one of these locations)
• This role is hybrid, requiring successful candidates to work in our office at least 3 days a week.
• Expertise in electrical distribution systems, power design, and lighting design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the engineering field.
• Vocational Certificate or Associates degree in Engineering Design or Drafting.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience in the architectural / built environment.
• Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC).
• Capable of performing calculations and analyses to support design decisions.

• 6. Do you have knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC).
• 7. Do you have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. preferred
• 8. Do you have Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards licensure. preferred
• 9. Do you have proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM PowerTools). preferred
• 11. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
