- JMT's Hunt Valley, MD office is seeking a Senior Transportation Structural Engineer to be responsible for all aspects of design for transportation structures projects. This senior level position is responsible for managing the structural design of a wide range of project sizes and complexity.
Responsibilities
- Design of new and rehabilitation bridge projects
- Ability to meet project schedules and maintain quality standards
- Maintain project scopes and budgets
- Preparation of contract bid documents and managing construction phase services
- Coordination with sub consultants
- Leading design engineers and drafting personnel
- Converse with clients and establish relationships.
Requirements
- Ability to manage the structural design of engineering and construction projects of varying levels of complexity, and scope
- Knowledge of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete for structure components
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- 12-20 years of relevant experience in structural design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland.
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design.
- Experience working with Maryland Department of Transportation.
