- The Senior Linux Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at NTT DATA in Bangalore is responsible for managing and optimising cloud and server environments, with a focus on AWS and Azure. The role requires at least 7 years of operational experience, including 3 years in AWS/Azure and 3 years in a 24/7 production support environment. Key responsibilities include server installation, configuration, Active Directory management, Hyper-V/Vmware deployment, disk administration, patch management, and troubleshooting. Candidates should have scripting and automation experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and on-call. - We are currently seeking a Senior Linux Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimising cloud and server environments, with a focus on AWS and Azure
- Server installation, configuration, Active Directory management, Hyper-V/Vmware deployment, disk administration, patch management, and troubleshooting
- Working on On-Call rotations
- Handling P1/P2 calls and escalations
- Writing quality KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/Run-books
- Helping L1 staff in support
Requirements
- • 7+ years of overall operational experience
- • 3+ years of AWS/Azure experience
- • 3+ years of experience working in a diverse cloud support environment in a 24*7 production support model
- • 2+ years scripting
- Four Year BS/BA in Information Technology degree or equivalent experience
- • Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019/2022 Servers (Must Have), Server installation, configuration, Active Directory Management (OU/GPO/Forest and domain config and etc), Hyper-V / Vmware - Deployment and management of hyper V VMs, Disk Administration: Shrink Partitions & Share Drives, Disk Quotas, DFS, Patch management, Troubleshooting skills in OS & Hyper-V related. Hand-on knowledge of various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.), Knowledge of Clustering (geo cluster, multimode passive/active). Working Knowledge of File and Print servers, Knowledge on server management tools, Log monitoring/maintenance, and Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage principles with a focus on AWS. Azure experience is a plus.
- • Cloud administration, OS/server administration, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience. Willing to work on multiple cloud platforms.
- • Powershell, scripting, and automation experience is a plus.
- • Fundamental understanding of emerging technologies, including Containers and PaaS solutions
- • Able to work on On-Call rotations
- • Able to work independently in a project scenario and do POCs.
- • Experience handling P1/P2 calls and escalations
- • Able to write quality KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/Run-books
