Job description

• Home Appliance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing company. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes across multiple business functions.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong auditing and reconciliation skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience working in a fast-paced, small business environment.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payment runs
• Manage accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections activities
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Conduct account audits and identify discrepancies
• Maintain general ledger accuracy
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare recurring financial reports and analyze financial data
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations
• Prepare commission reports
• Process and reconcile manufacturer rebates and claim backs
• Prepare and file sales tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Small business accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
• Strong auditing, reconciliation, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
