- OBAN Corporation is seeking a HR Specialist I to join its federal customer. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Office, supporting the timekeeping and payroll function.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR support, guidance, and consultation to agency personnel and management.
- Interpret and apply federal HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with veterans' preference, special hiring authorities, and equal employment opportunity requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and documentation.
- Generate HR reports, data analysis, and metrics to support decision-making.
- Stay current with changes in federal HR regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years in a federal agency environment.
- Must have strong payroll, time and attendance experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal HR laws and regulations.
- Experience working in federal HR, personnel management, or related roles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to navigate complex situations and provide effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other relevant software.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail in personnel management and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ethical and professional conduct with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required government security check.
- U.S. Citizen.
