Job description

• We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Software Developers with strong expertise in Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, full-stack development, code review, software architecture, and technical documentation to contribute to an advanced AI training and software-engineering evaluation project.
• Selected professionals will design and evaluate production-quality software solutions, review complex codebases, assess architectural decisions, document technical reasoning, and contribute realistic programming examples and problem-solving approaches used to improve next-generation AI systems. No prior experience in AI is required.

Responsibilities

• Software Design & Development
• Design scalable, maintainable, and robust software solutions
• Work across Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, and full-stack technologies
• Apply strong engineering principles to real-world development scenarios

• Code Review & Quality Assurance
• Conduct detailed reviews of complex software codebases
• Identify functional, architectural, performance, and maintainability issues
• Provide clear and actionable feedback on implementation quality
• Evaluate adherence to engineering standards and best practices
• Recommend practical improvements to code structure and design
• Software Architecture
• Review and contribute to software architecture decisions
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs across scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Identify weaknesses in proposed system designs
• Recommend appropriate design patterns and implementation approaches
• Support long-term technical stability through sound architectural judgement
• Technical Documentation
• Develop and review high-quality technical documentation
• Document architectural decisions, implementation approaches, and system behaviour
• Translate complex software concepts into clear written explanations
• Improve documentation for usability and long-term maintainability
• Ensure technical materials accurately reflect system design and implementation
• Programming & Problem-Solving Evaluation
• Contribute realistic programming examples and engineering scenarios
• Explain technical problem-solving approaches clearly and logically
• Evaluate proposed software solutions for correctness and efficiency
• Identify alternative approaches and relevant implementation trade-offs
• Help establish high-quality reference material for software-engineering tasks
• AI Training & Technical Evaluation
• Review AI-generated code, technical explanations, and engineering solutions
• Identify errors, weaknesses, or inconsistencies in model outputs
• Provide structured technical feedback to improve software-engineering datasets
• Apply professional engineering standards to evaluation tasks
• Collaborate remotely with project contributors through written and verbal communication

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional, consulting, or specialist experience in software development
• Strong expertise in one or more of Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or full-stack development
• Demonstrated experience designing and reviewing complex software architectures
• Strong code-review experience with the ability to provide constructive technical feedback
• Experience producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices
• Ability to analyse complex codebases and architectural decisions
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
• Ability to explain sophisticated software concepts clearly and concisely
• Comfortable collaborating remotely across distributed teams
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or technology-training datasets is advantageous but not required
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
