- Role Overview As our Senior Accountant, you will serve as the day-to-day lead for our accounting operations and a key resource for the Controller and CFO. You will oversee general ledger reconciliations, daily cash reporting, inventory, sales tax compliance, and multi-state payroll support.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations (cash, prepaids, leases, accrued expenses, inventory, and deferred revenue).
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain cash flow reporting.
- Coordinate state and city business licenses, property tax, and sales tax filings (Avalara).
- Provide analytical support during monthly financial statement reviews and assist external auditors.
- Support multi-state bi-weekly payroll journal entries and serve as backup coverage for payroll processing.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Software: Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite highly preferred) and multi-state payroll platforms (ADP Workforce Now). Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Industry Skills: Cost accounting or manufacturing/construction experience is a plus.
