Job description

• A well-established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial operations for a foundation supporting a major hospital system.
• This leadership role requires strong expertise in financial management, compliance, budgeting, and team leadership within a non-profit or healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of financial operations
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and financial reporting standards
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial integrity
• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets
• Partner with leadership to set financial goals aligned with organizational objectives
• Serve as a liaison between the foundation and healthcare system stakeholders
• Analyze workflows and implement process improvements
• Stay current on industry and regulatory developments
• Lead, coach, and evaluate finance team members
• Support employee development and performance management initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 7+ years of financial leadership experience
• Experience working in non-profit organizations (4+ years preferred)
• Experience supporting or working within a foundation environment (4+ years preferred)
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and financial analysis skills
