• Salary: $95,000–$135,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• As a Transportation Engineer, PE, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects from concept through construction while serving as a trusted technical resource for clients, agencies, and your project team.
• You'll work with the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), municipalities, and regulatory agencies on transportation projects that directly impact the communities we serve.
• Leading transportation and roadway projects from planning through construction
• Serving as Engineer of Record on applicable projects
• Preparing roadway and highway designs, plans, specifications, and technical documents
• Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality control
• Coordinating with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Reviewing technical work and mentoring developing engineers
• Supporting proposals, client relationships, and transportation business development
• Developing practical, cost-effective solutions to complex transportation challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license; ability to obtain North Dakota licensure through reciprocity
• 6+ years of progressive transportation civil engineering experience
• Experience with state DOTs; NDDOT experience is highly valued
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Strong knowledge of transportation design principles and DOT standards
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or OpenRoads Designer
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
