Job description

• This is a remote, part-time contract position based in the United States.
• Lonely Planet is looking to hire a Part-Time Customer Service Associate for the upcoming holiday season. The Lonely Planet Customer Service Associate is responsible for liaising with Lonely Planet customers to provide up-to-date and informative product information to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. This role will be responsible for day-to-day online sales activities, order processing, managing returns and refunds, escalation of issues.

Responsibilities

• Read and reply to all customer inquiries and complaints via email or telephone in a professional, proactive, and friendly manner. Inquiries include: order delivery questions, billing inquiries, article, site, and book feedback tickets, Lonely Planet App questions, Journeys traveler questions, etc.
• Liaise with our third-party warehouses to oversee the successful delivery of parcels in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Lonely Planet products and services

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a contact center environment,
• Experience with a ticketing/CRM system
• Experience in Zendesk preferred
• Experience with Shopify/eCommerce storefront preferred

Benefits

• Total Cash Compensation Range: $18 – $22/ per hour
• Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
• This is a remote, part-time contract position based in the United States.
• Anticipated Contract Length: 3 months, ~20-25 hours a week
