- Direct Counsel is partnering with a highly respected and nationally recognized plaintiffs' litigation firm seeking a Senior Associate Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience to join its San Francisco team.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who is ready to take on significant responsibility from day one, including taking depositions, arguing before trial and appellate courts, presenting at mediations, and managing complex litigation matters and discovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex personal injury and mass tort matters from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage complex discovery and case-related matters
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
- Argue motions and appear before trial and appellate courts
- Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations
- Work closely with partners and litigation teams on case strategy
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders
- Take ownership of assigned matters and contribute meaningfully to the firm's litigation practice
Requirements
- 4+ years of litigation experience
- Experience with personal injury and/or mass tort litigation strongly preferred
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience taking depositions
- Experience handling complex discovery
- Ability to appear in court and participate in mediations
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Class action experience is a plus, but not required
