• As a Solution Architect, you’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most significant defence infrastructure programmes. You’ll help shape the technical solutions that support the maintenance our submarine fleet - critical to national security. This is a unique opportunity to work within a complex organisation, collaborating with government clients, programme partners and design teams to deliver innovative, secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a growing architectural team within our Digital Solutions business unit, contributing to a portfolio of medium to enterprise-scale projects.
• Scope functional and non‑functional requirements and translate them into high‑level solution designs.
• Define system components, integration points and data flows using modern technologies and platforms.
• Present and communicate solution designs to stakeholders through workshops, proposals and visual storyboarding.
• Lead technical delivery, resolving complex issues, managing risks and working with software partners to achieve successful deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural strategies and standards, selecting appropriate technologies and vendors to meet programme needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical architecture and solution design using tools like Sparx EA and frameworks such as ArchiMate
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate and manage all levels of stakeholders
• Strong understanding of security principles and governance
• Demonstrated success in designing and delivering complex systems integration solutions
• Relevant qualifications in technical architecture and solution design such as BCS Practitioner Certificate in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture.
• Additional certifications in security or enterprise systems are advantageous
• The successful candidate must be a sole UK national, who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

• Background in regulated industries such as defence, aerospace or nuclear, finance
