Daniela Mercado Allstate Agency is a top 5% Allstate agency nationwide for the past 2 years, and we are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and sales-driven Account Manager to join our growing team.

This is not an entry-level insurance position. The ideal candidate must have insurance experience, understand client account management, and be comfortable driving sales, retention, referrals, and account growth.
As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients have a positive experience with our agency.
You will be responsible for building relationships with existing clients, identifying their needs, addressing concerns, protecting retention, and creating opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products.
This role leads the sales side of the service department. While Service Representatives handle administrative servicing, documentation, policy changes, and day-to-day client support, the Account Manager focuses on retention, cross-selling, referrals, client reviews, and account growth.
The Service Representatives act as your support system. They help feed you referrals and handle the administrative work of the agency, allowing you to focus on revenue-producing opportunities.
No cold calling is required in this role. Warm leads are provided daily through agency sources, existing clients, and referrals from Service Representatives.
The ideal candidate is already licensed, experienced in insurance, confident speaking with clients, and motivated by sales goals. This person understands that service conversations create sales opportunities and knows how to protect retention while growing the agency’s book of business.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Proactively reach out to clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions.
Manage service-driven referrals and convert them into sales opportunities.
Follow up on warm leads provided through agency sources, existing clients, and internal referrals.
Cross-sell during client interactions, including auto, home, renters, umbrella, life, and other applicable products.
Help protect customers by recommending additional insurance products that meet their needs.
Retain clients who are attempting to cancel by identifying solutions and preserving agency relationships.
Educate customers and prospective customers on how to protect their families, assets, and financial future.
Conduct semi-annual reviews for insureds during renewal periods.
Analyze client feedback, account activity, and retention trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Create and support retention strategies to reduce churn and increase client loyalty.
Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with Service Representatives and other team members to resolve client issues and enhance the customer experience.
Partner with Service Representatives to maximize referrals and account growth.
Maintain accurate notes, follow-ups, and documentation in agency systems.
Adhere to compliance and underwriting requirements in accordance with state and federal law, insurer guidelines, and agency policy.
Participate in required training, coaching, performance reviews, and development courses.
This is a performance-based position. Meeting the monthly sales minimum is a condition of continued employment.
Achieve a minimum of 20 Allstate items per month.
Achieve a minimum of one life insurance policy per quarter.
Consistently meet or exceed agency sales, retention, referral, and client relationship goals.
Support agency growth through upselling, cross-selling, proactive account management, and client education.
Maintain strong performance standards in sales, compliance, documentation, and client service.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in insurance account management, insurance sales, client retention, or a similar licensed insurance role.
Active Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
Candidates with a Personal Lines Insurance License will be required to have an active Life Insurance License.
Familiarity with insurance products, policy servicing, underwriting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and service goals.
Strong client relationship management and retention skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, follow through, and follow up consistently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience using insurance management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
Proficiency in other languages preferred.
Must maintain a valid Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Insurance License as required by state regulations.
Must follow all insurance, regulatory, carrier, and agency compliance requirements.
Must maintain accurate documentation and uphold agency standards for client communication, sales, retention, and service.
Strong sales, cross-selling, and business development skills.

Ability to generate referrals and identify growth opportunities from service interactions.
Ability to coach, encourage, and motivate Service Representatives.
